Perimenopause and the Midlife Rebirth

ree

There’s a moment that sneaks up on so many of us.

You’re in your late 30s or somewhere in your 40s. Maybe your kids are growing up. Your body starts changing in ways you didn’t expect. Your emotions feel unfamiliar. You wonder if you’re going crazy, but what’s really happening is that you’re waking up.

This is midlife.

This is perimenopause.

This is transformation.

The spiritual side of perimenopause

Nobody talks about the spiritual side of menopause. The emotional unraveling. The shedding of the old self. The sense of something ending… and not yet knowing what’s beginning.

When it began for me, and honestly I’m still in it, I felt raw and untethered. It was as if the things that used to define me no longer fit. My roles were shifting. My hormones were unpredictable. I was grieving the woman I used to be, but I had no idea who I was becoming yet.

That’s when I turned to astrology.

The birth chart can become an anchor during times of change, a map that helps us understand not only what’s happening physically, but also emotionally and energetically. At this stage of life, significant transits mark powerful turning points:

Saturn is maturing us, asking us to release what no longer supports the life we're building; Pluto will be squaring our natal Pluto, stirring deep psychological transformation and prompting a complete inner rebirth.

The nodal return will highlight the tension between familiar patterns and the soul’s deeper calling, nudging us toward a path that may feel unfamiliar but profoundly aligned. And still to come after the age of 40, the Uranus opposition, a wake-up call that breaks apart lingering limitations, pushing us to awaken further and live more authentically.

These milestones will stir up questions about identity, meaning, and direction, inviting us to reflect, realign, and grow.

It was through my chart that I realised: midlife isn’t a crisis. It’s a portal.

Perimenopause isn’t just the end of fertility, it’s the beginning of something deeper. A shedding. A remembering. A reclamation of self.

Your chart can reflect this shift. It can show where your soul is asking you to grow, where you’re being called to let go, and what part of yourself is ready to rise from the ashes.

So, if you’re feeling emotional, disconnected, unsure of what comes next, please don’t just brush it off as hormones. You might be in the middle of a rebirth.

And you don’t have to go through it alone.
